Shopping Cart To Moodle® Course - Only $7 !

by Carl on May 7, 2009

I’ve done pretty well with my Moodle shopping cart e-course.  I get a ton of traffic on this subject and I really ought to be selling even more e-courses.  So to test the interest in my solution, I’m going to release the course for $7.  The only catch is you get put on my mailing list - so you’ll get notified when I post.  No spam, you can opt-out anytime.

In this series of videos, I show you step-by-step how to add the cutting edge EJunkie Shopping Cart to Moodle® - complete with:moodle

  • A professional-looking cart and checkout system
  • The ability to use any payment processor - not just PayPal
  • A pro-grade affiliate management system
  • Ability to track payments
  • A system that integrates with popular 3rd party systems such as autoresponders
  • Professional design and a reliable system

Disclaimer: This procedure should be viewed as a ‘hack’, not a ‘module’ - it will not likely survive a Moodle® version upgrade. Moodle® is a registered trademark of Martin Dougiamas.

This 40 minute video series shows you step by step how to integrate the E-Junkie Shopping Cart into Moodle®.

Only $7 !!

Carl, I had been eying this for a while so this was good timing. I like this since I also need to sell some hard products and downloadable PDFs on other parts of the site. With e-junkie I could have a consistent look/feel for site wide ecommerce.
The only thing I see that wold keep me from going this route is not having a way to automatically unenroll a person from a course at some point. From what I have read with exteranl DB enrollment as long as there is a record in the DB that associates a user ID and a course ID they will be enrolled in the class at each login.
I suppose code could be written that would pick up the course duration from the given course settings and insert an expiration date in the DB record when it is written by eJunkie. Then you could have a cron job run on a regular basis that would delete the records of expired enrollments. Would this be a sound approach?

Thanks!

very useful, I used moodle to build a internal training site for a friends company. Plus you can’t get any better for selling ebooks on your site than E-Junkie, excellent!
