Hello Carl,
Great product! I have Justhost as my server company and had to set the "host" field as "local host".
The smtp port is 25 and I had to use my hosting domain email address like, (admin@mysite.com and the password of that email address.) I thought I could make any password but it has to be that particular domain email address' password. Hope this helps someone, and thanks for your quick support Carl.

I ran this on hostgator and I had to do a few things to get it to work. One, I had to set the confirmation email address to an address I created in cpanel on my domain. Two, the smtp authorization does need to be turned on. And username is in the format of name+domain.com; not @. Lastly I had to add my email to the contributors in posterous.
