A Simple Affiliate Cookie Stuffer Plugin For Wordpress

by Carl

If you do affiliate marketing, particularly if you are in the make-money or software niche – I have news for you; your  buyers are on to you.  They know about affiliate marketing, commissions, and the whole bit.  Even though you go to all the trouble to place great content, reviews and the like out on the web, your buyers may just begrudge you making a commission and simply refuse to click your affiliate link.MMMMM....

Even cloaked links are so commonplace now that buyers are tuned in to the game – they just feel better about clicking plain ‘ol links – without the affiliate redirects.  A classic symptom of this – your are getting lots of traffic, but no commissions.  What’s the solution?

Introducing Cookie Stuffr

Cookie Stuffr is a simple Wordpress Plugin that puts your affiliate tracking cookie on your visitor’s computer when they load the page – before they click any links.  Now your links can all be nice, clean, wholesome text links. They have no idea that by the time they hover your plain text link in your review, they ALREADY have your affiliate cookie on their PC. When they buy, you earn the commission.

Works In The Background

It works by allowing you to add your affiliate link to a Wordpress post or page within the Wordpress admin panel. When that post is viewed, your affiliate link is quietly and invisibly called in the background. The visitor has no idea that this is happening – all they see is a plain text link that you add to your post. After all, there’s no need to make your affiliate link publicly visible within the post any more, as the visitor to your blog has already been cookied.image As far as they’re concerned, you’ve written a product review with no intent of financial gain, and they’re ready to go through to the site and buy.

Easy Set-Up

Cookie Stuffr is very easy to use. Just upload and activate the plugin, then go to the Cookie Stuffr settings page.  Once you’re there you can add your affiliate links to as many posts or pages as you like.

Isn’t This A Black Hat Technique?

Uh, yes.  And it can get you banned by your affiliate program – really.  So if you are going to use it, use it sparingly, one or two per page or post.  All we can say is, that’s up to you. If you think it’s worth it, then go right ahead, but it’s your responsibility if you do.

The plugin is priced very reasonably at $17.   Start to reclaim those commissions you would have otherwise lost.  There’s no doubt in my mind that Cookie Stuffr will give you a competitive edge over other affiliates, just don’t go crazy and stuff too many cookies!

There’s a 100% 30-day money back guarantee so you have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

This is really sneaky, but is it really any different than cloaking an affiliate link? does it work for clickbank? any chance of it triping any adaware software?

No, link kloaking does not cookie the user, only hides your aff link. Yes, it’ll work with CB. I can’t imagine how it would trip adware scanners. – Carl

This is a dofollow blog - so you WILL get link juice from putting a comment here. To make things better for everyone, I've installed KeywordLuv and CommentLuv. However, you have to post your comment in the correct manner to get it approved. In the 'Name' field - you MUST to put it in this format: YourName@YourKeywords. Only then will your comment get approved.

Secondly, your comment HAS to be relevant to the post, and add to the content and discussion. I delete comments that are obviously spam, and ban the user's IP as well. Ugly, ugly world we live in. But if you have a relevant comment and want a link, I'm ready to oblige.
